Help with getting started

Accounts, sign-in, your channel and the studio.

Getting started on Banned.Video takes a Google account and about a minute. You sign in with Google, and your channel is made at the same moment. After that, the creator studio is your home base. It is where you upload, edit, track and earn.

The articles below follow the order most people need them. First you sign in. Then you learn your way around the studio. Last, you pick a handle and a channel name that people will remember.

Before you start

  • You need a Google account with a verified email address. Banned.Video has no passwords and no email sign-up.
  • Every account comes with exactly one channel. Your videos, playlists and earnings all belong to it.
  • New to running a channel? Our guide on how to start a video channel covers planning, naming and your first uploads.
  • Have a file ready? The upload page takes files of up to 4 GB each, in 12 common formats.
  • Want to check the file first? Read how to prepare a video for upload so it looks its best.
