Help with sharing and embedding

Links, embeds, oEmbed, playlists and social previews.

Sharing a Banned.Video video can be as simple as copying its link. You can also start the link at a set moment, embed the player on your own site, or collect videos in a playlist. When someone pastes your link into a chat or social app, a preview card with the thumbnail and title appears.

The articles below cover each way to share and the settings that control it.

Which way to share

  • Send a link when you want people to watch on Banned.Video, with comments and related videos.
  • Use an embed when you want the player inside your own web page or blog post.
  • Use a playlist when several videos belong together, like a course or a series.
  • Check the thumbnail before you post, because it becomes the image on the preview card.

Our guide on how to embed a video on a website goes deeper on layout and speed. The embed guide has code you can copy.
